| dc.description | Que, el artículo 69 de la Constitución Política de Colombia reconoce la autonomía universitaria y faculta a las Instituciones de Educación Superior para darse sus directivas y regirse por sus propios estatutos, dentro del marco constitucional y legal aplicable al servicio público de la educación superior. Que, el artículo 28 de la Constitución Política Nacional dispone que la Autonomía Universitaria se concreta en: “(...) la libertad académica, administrativa y económica de las instituciones de educación superior y en ejercicio de ella, las universidades tienen derecho a darse y modificar sus estatutos, designar sus autoridades académicas y administrativas, crear, organizar y desarrollar sus programas académicos, definir y organizar sus labores formativas, académicas, docentes, científicas y culturales, otorgar los títulos correspondientes, seleccionar sus profesores, adoptar sus correspondientes regímenes y establecer, arbitrar.” | |
| dc.description.abstract | Whereas Article 69 of the Political Constitution of Colombia recognizes university autonomy and grants Higher Education Institutions the authority to establish their own governing bodies and to be governed by their own statutes, within the constitutional and legal framework applicable to the public service of higher education. Whereas Article 28 of the National Political Constitution establishes that University Autonomy is embodied in: "(...) the academic, administrative, and economic freedom of higher education institutions, and, in the exercise of such autonomy, universities have the right to establish and amend their statutes, appoint their academic and administrative authorities, create, organize, and develop their academic programs, define and organize their educational, academic, teaching, scientific, and cultural activities, confer the corresponding degrees, select their faculty members, adopt their respective regulations, and establish and administer their governance mechanisms." | |
